Peasant
Your journey begins in a dukedom with nothing but rags on your back and shoes on your
feet. As the front line of the shield wall, you're ready to give your life for your
lord and the Lady of the Lake.
Armed Peasant
Once strong enough to wield a real weapon, you may choose to become an armed peasant
or a peasant archer. You're still the expendable part of the line, so fight hard and
survive if you hope to earn a legacy.
Man-at-Arms
After months of service, you may be promoted to man-at-arms or free archer, becoming a
true soldier in your lord's retinue. As a man-at-arms, you now understand formation
and common Bretonnian tactics.
Sergent
A sergent is a trusted retinue member who may lead the line. Reaching this rank
requires surviving long enough to face the sergent trials, which test your strength,
faith, and knoweldge of Bretonnia and its warfare.
Mounted Sergent
A mounted sergent is a sergent who passed the mounted trials, experienced on a steed
as well as on foot. They ride with the cavalry, protect the nobility, and support
chargest in battle with skill and discipline.
Captain
A captain is the most elite and loyal warrior in a lord's retinue, overseeing tactics
and ensuring sergents follow orders. Reaching this rank takes unwavering dedication to
their lord, and a keen mind for tactics.
Squire
A squire not only serves their lord with dedication, but also studies the ways of the
realm's nobility. They strive to seek the attention of the Holy Council, giving the
possibility to be knighted, or to perish trying.
Knight
The Knights of Bretonnia rule their land with honor, justice, and valor. They are the
embodiment of the Lady's blessing, serving their king with honor and protecting the
Realm with the generous help of their loyal peasants.
